>I Didn’t Say It………….

>Daily Dish columnist, Andrew Sullivan, on Christine O’Donnell, who said if she knew where the Jews were hiding and the Nazis asked, she’d have to tell them because she cannot tell a lie:
“A mischievous thought: when will someone ask O’Donnell, as a single woman, if, since her conversion to Catholicism, she has ever masturbated? She cannot have had any sex, right? And that includes sex alone. Since she has made this a public stance, and since, apparently, she cannot lie (even if it would mean handing over Jews to Nazis), she has made the question perfectly legit.”

It would be nice hearing that wingnut have to answer personal questions about herself and not lie.
I mean, she’s a politician, all they know is lying, right?

Jodie Foster, on friend, homophobe, anti-Semite, Misogynist, Mel Gibson:
“When you love a friend you don’t abandon them when they are struggling. Of course, Mel is an undeniably gifted actor and director and The Beaver is one of his most powerful and and moving performances. But more importantly, he is and has been a true and loyal friend. I hope I can help him get through this dark moment.”

Oh Jodie Jodie Jodie.
I’ve loved you for a long time, even back in the days when you weren’t a Lesbian. who am i kidding, we’ve always known.
But backing up Mel Gibson. His words seem to say that he doesn’t think much of women or gay people, and, well, that would be you, honey.
It’s fine to stand up for friends who have hard times, but to stand up for racism and sexism and homophobia, is just wrong.

Floyd Brown, president of the Western Journalism Center, spouting ignorance and hate:
“The Obama presidency is a disease. Article 2, Section 4 (the impeachment clause of the Constitution) is the cure. And it’s Obama’s hatred of America that makes it absolutely imperative that we take action now. Barack Hussein Obama is not some do-gooder that has had his plans go astray. He is not a person of good will just trying his best to make America go the right direction. He is not. Barack Hussein Obama is a liar that absolutely knows what he’s doing to the United States of America. He has a plan. He has an agenda. This man knows exactly where he’s taking us. Obama hates Christianity. He is a Muslim. Others will say he’s just a godless atheist. The bottom line is that this man hates Christianity.”

Crazy delusional asshated wingnutted motherfucker.
That’s all I got.

Jon Hamm, on the difference between reality stars and actors:
“L.A. represents opportunity. And has been proven over and over in the current media landscape, it doesn’t take much for them to put you on TV. If that’s all you want you can just be on ‘The Bachelor’ or ‘The Real Housewives’ or whatever show just wants oversized personalities, ridiculous behavior and zero dignity. If you just want to be famous … that’s not that much different than porn. ‘I’m a movie star!’ Well, no you’re not. You’re a porn star, and that’s completely different. And you know, hey mazel tov — porn probably built half the houses out here, but you’re selling your dignity in a way that I feel I’m not. And once you sell it, it’s gone. You ain’t getting it back.”

I’m sorry.
Now all I can think about is Jon Hamm and porn.
And is that so wrong?

Stephen Fry, on the fact that he is only “part” gay:
“I am only ’90 per cent gay,’ which is of course pretty damned gay, but every now and again on my path through life I have met a woman in the 10 per cent bracket. Caroline at Cambridge was one, although I never told her so, and Sunetra was another.”

Oh Stephen.
There is no such thing as “part” gay.
You are, or you aren’t, or you’re bisexual.
And I don’t think you’re bisexual.
I think Caroline, that woman from Cambridge, well, maybe you were drunk, or just wanted to try it that one time.

California Cogressman, and apparent lifelong asshat and bigot, Devin Nunes, at a World Net Daily “Taking America Back” hatefest in Miami:
“I know what you all are thinking. Here is this young guy from California. He must be a liberal. What is he doing here? But please keep in mind: there are almost 40 million people in California. Not all of us come from Hollywood or San Francisco! In fact, one of the largest areas in California is the great San Joaquin Valley. That’s where I was born and raised and that’s the region I now represent in Congress. As a region, the San Joaquin has been labeled America’s breadbasket. However, it might be better described as America’s produce stand because farmers there grow more than 300 different crops. Actually, we grow a lot of fruits and nuts – ours are not the kind you hide from your children.”

Oh, Devin, you don’t know what I’m thinking, but here goes.
I think you like to make jokes you think are funny, but they aren’t. They’re homophobic and hateful and hurtful, and so not funny.
I also think that in a few years you’ll get busted in some sex scandal involving men and you’ll beg us to forgive you because you were so deeply closeted and ashamed.
Too late.
Fruitcake.

Meghan McCain, on LGBT rights, DADT, her father, and Obama:
Until you are the daughter of a republican senator – don’t assume what I do and the stances I take are ever easy. I love my family and I love the gay community. There’s a lot of anger being projected at me personally for my father’s stance on DADT. I love my father very much and we disagree. Project your anger at politicians and the president you elected, because last time I checked – Obama isn’t exactly advocating for LGBT rights or removing DADT.”

Your father does have a right to his opinion, but which opinion are we talking about? The one where he said he would support the repeal if the leaders of the military supported it, until they supported it and they backtracked?
That opinion?
Or when he said the military doesn’t seek out gay men and women to discharge even though he sat in on the hearings regarding Mike Almy, who was discharged after the military snooped through his private emails?
That opinion?
Your father’s time as a politician is up.

Jon Stewart, on his lack of desire to run for public office:
“I deny that I am powerful. Power implies an agenda that’s being acted on. Every generation has had its people who stand at the back and make fun of those in charge. When the Nazis came to power in the ’30s, it created an incredible underground scene of satirical comedy. Peter Cook [a British comedian] once said with a straight face, ‘Yes, they really showed Hitler.’ That’s how I see it. I’m not saying I’m powerless and in a vacuum. But if I really wanted to change things, I’d run for office. I haven’t considered that, and I wouldn’t — because this is what I do well. The more I move away from comedy, the less competent I become. I would lose my mind almost immediately. My job is I make jokes. I don’t solve problems. If my job became solving problems, I would suddenly become a lot less good at what I do, unless the problem being had by the country was a lack of jokes.”

No, Jon, you shouldn’t run.
But you do have power. The power, through humor, to make people aware, to make them think, to give them a reason to advocate and vote and stand up for themselves and others.
And you make me laugh.

  1. >NO, it's not wrong to think of Jon Hamm & porn. He stars in the porn that plays in my mind. And I watch it over and over and over again.Jon Stewart stars in one too. He is so damn funny and intelligent. LOVE HIM!

I might still be capable of doing it again if I got drunk and taken advantage of. LOL!
